2015 ONIE Calendars Have Arrived!
The ONIE Project 2015 Calendars are now being distributed! These FREE calendars feature hearty, healthy, and homemade recipes. Cooking at home is not only healthier but saves money. We know you value easy, tasty, and budget friendly. To make sure that the recipes meet these criteria, the ONIE Test Kitchens has developed, prepared, and timed prepping for every single recipe. In addition, all recipes have a nutrition label, so you know that they are HEALTHY!
The calendar is full of tidbits that make healthy living easier. A preview of the features include recipes, a guide to reduce the sodium in your diet (yep, most of us, including our kids, consume too much sodium), a list of Farmers’ Markets that accept SNAP benefits, and an easy guide to making sense of a nutrition label.
Calendars are being distributed in elementary schools across the state, DHS offices, and community organizations over the next two weeks. If you child attends any of the following elementary school, a calendar will be sent home to you.
Calendars can also be picked up at any of the following locations:
Regional Food Bank
Eastern Food Bank
Morton Comprehensive Health Services
Comunity Health Centers, Inc. (Mary Mahoney Memorial Health Center)
Metropolitian Library Systems

Cheers to a Healthy & Hearty New Year !
