Catfish Sticks & Louisiana Catfish
Catfish: An Oklahoma Tradition Made Better
You know catfish is an Oklahoma favorite because any local can tell you where to find the best catfish restaurant, and, if you are lucky, the best fishing hole. For many of us, it is a summer-time comfort food, but a healthy one. It is low in calories, a complete protein, is a good source of potassium, and contains high levels of vitamin B-12 and magnesium. We want to help you enjoy this summer favorite and have 2 catfish recipes for you to try: Cracker Catfish Sticks and Louisiana Catfish.
This recipe is a healthy twist on fried catfish. Our ONIE Test Kitchen has created a yummy breading. As with most of our recipes, this one is quick and easy to prepare. Just cover the fish in breading, and bake for ten minutes. You will save time by not needing to stand over the hot stove frying. Click HERE for this recipe.
Louisianans also know a little bit about catfish. We have a Cajun flavor for you try served over summer roasted vegetables (corn, okra, and onion). Yum! It is an everyday dish that will quickly become your family’s favorite. Click HERE for the recipe or watch the video below.
