Here is the step by step process of how an ONIE Recipe is created:
We search online, magazines & cookbooks for a variety of new and tasty recipes.
We evaluate each recipe and look for ways to improve it in ingredients, cooking time & nutritional quality.
We prepare each recipe ourselves to make sure the preparation steps are clear and the recipe tastes good.
Our team rates each recipe based on taste, ease of preparation, visual appeal, and how likely we are to make it at home.
Our registered dietitian (& food photographer) nutritionally analyzes each recipe before certifying it healthy.
Oklahoma families review a our best recipes and rank them. Their favorites are featured in our nutrition calendars as well as on our website.
ONIE recipes are distributed through our nutrition calendars (2019 in the works now!) recipes cards, website and blogs, which can be found throughout the community at various community agencies and farmers markets. Take a moment to browse our broad selection of recipes today!
