Seasons Greetings!

Don’t want to run to the store to buy all the different spice blends for your dishes this holiday season? You’re in luck! Many of these can already be found in your spice cabinet. By blending these spices yourself, you can save some money and skip out on extra preservatives the store-made blends may have. Plus you can brag about how you’ve made these blends from scratch!  Here’s a little help in figuring out how much and which spices to use.

Turkey Rub:

  • 2 tsp Rosemary                                      
  • 1 tsp Sage 
  • ½ tsp Garlic  
  • 1 tsp Salt 
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper 
  • ½ tsp Thyme

Apple Pie:


  • ¼ cup Cinnamon  
  • 1 tsp Cardamom  
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg

Pumpkin Spice:
 

  • ¼ cup Cinnamon  
  • 2 tsp Ground Ginger  
  • 2 tsp Nutmeg  
  • 1 tsp Ground Cloves

Chai Spice:

  • 3 Tbsp Cinnamon  
  • 1½ Tbsp Ground Cloves  
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cardamom 
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Ginger  
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
